Let’s Talk About Your Whole Home Remodel
First, we both need to conclude that we are a fit for each other. We’ll do a deep dive into your vision to make sure that we “get it.” We’ll talk about budget, vision, schedule, financing, as well as roles and expectations throughout the process.
The Project Development Agreement
Before entering into a Construction Agreement together there will be pre-construction processes for which there will be fees separate from the construction contract. We will handle these pre-construction processes with what is called a Professional Services Agreement (PSA)*.
*The PSA does not obligate you to enter into a Construction Agreement with us and you own the results of the project development work covered by the PSA.
Project Development
Once we have a signed PSA, it is time to talk through your project. We will work hand in hand with outside Designers and Architects to get your project plan in place and we take all the time you want to be comfortable and confident. We will develop the scope of work, cabinet drawings, finishes, project plan, progress payments, construction schedule, and logistics.
The Construction Agreement
Now we have all the information to provide a fixed bid price for your project, and you will have signed off on the design and production plan. You will meet your project manager and discuss how you want to handle communications. We will provide a Contract for our mutual signatures, and go over and explain every detail to your satisfaction.
Project Management
During the building phase, we will handle all the details of ordering materials, scheduling, oversight, and coordination/completion of the work. Concurrently, we will diligently keep you up to date on progress and issues.
In-Process Changes
No matter how carefully we plan your project together you may find you would like to make some changes along the way — and that’s okay! Any changes you want to make will be cheerfully accommodated. The costs associated with your changes will be explained in the construction agreement.
Project Completion
You’re on the home stretch! During the completion phase we will meticulously inspect, meet for a final review, perform a final clean-up, document your feedback, and provide all warranty documentation. It is important to us that we maintain the exceptional level of craftsmanship and service throughout every phase of this process.

Still Have Some Questions?
We’ve put together a short list of the top questions we get asked from new clients about our home remodeling services.
Whole House Remodeling FAQs
Can I stay in my home during renovation?
It depends on the scope of the project. If it’s a complete home remodel (knocking down walls, electrical work, plumbing upgrades) you may not be able to stay in the house due to noise, dust and lack of access to areas like the kitchen or bathroom.
If you do decide to stay during the remodel you’ll need to be prepared for disruptions. Dust and debris are inevitable and construction noise is a daily occurrence. Depending on the area being remodeled you may have limited access to certain rooms. However, we can set up a temporary cooking area for you when there is limited kitchen access.
It’s also important to communicate with us about your living arrangements. We can give you a schedule and let you know when areas of the house will be off limits. For bigger remodels you may want to consider temporarily relocating or staying with family or friends. Especially if major systems like HVAC or plumbing are being worked on which could make living in the house unsafe or uncomfortable.
How much will my whole home remodel cost?
Your home remodel cost will depend on the size of your home, the extent of the structural changes, and the design elements and finishes you select. We have a very thorough pre-construction process to answer all of those questions and give you an accurate budget for your project. The pre-construction process is covered by a Professional Services Agreement (PSA)*. This Project Development work gives us all the information we need to provide a fixed bid price for your project.

*The PSA does not obligate you to enter into a Construction Agreement with us and you own the results of the project development work covered by the PSA.
How long does a home renovation take?
Remodeling a home can take anywhere from three to six months—or longer. That timeframe can vary wildly depending on how much of the house you’re renovating. The size of the home and the extent of the structural changes you want to make will all play a role.
Delays can pop up when hidden problems like water damage or outdated electrical systems are uncovered during demolition. Permits and approvals can also cause weeks-long delays—especially in areas where the regulations are strict. Additionally, custom materials and fixtures can be slow to arrive, causing hold-ups.
As we’re renovating, different stages often overlap. Demolition and structural work might be happening at the same time as permits are still being processed. Drywall could be going up while the plumbing is being finalized. That kind of overlap can be beneficial, but it also means coordination and clear communication is absolutely crucial to avoid delays or errors.
