Frantz Construction owner and founder, Josh Frantz, has always dreamed big. In Josh’s words, he “doesn’t do things small.” From family barbecues to pursuing his faith, he puts everything he’s got into his passion projects.

After years of seeing families get burned by dishonest contractors, Josh dreamed of creating a construction company that was different. Focusing on the customer experience and treating employees with respect would be the guiding principles.

Remodeling or building your home should be rewarding and engaging, not stressful and draining. Too many contractors put profits before people – never-ending change orders, lack of communication, unclear project milestones. The list goes on.

Frantz Construction was created to break the mold of existing contractors and provide an experience that families can look forward to; an experience that prioritizes your satisfaction above all else.

Josh & Desra Frantz
Owners

Josh and Desra Frantz started Frantz Construction in February of 2018 and they make the perfect team! Josh has experience performing numerous trades in construction over the past 20 years and is our contractor while Desra has a Bachelor’s degree from Northwest University and leads our human resources and marketing departments.

Josh and Desra’s philosophy in running a construction business can best be defined as The Ethical Home. While that term is not original to them, they believe in dealing with Homeowners and Homebuilders ethically and honestly generating trust in all client relationships. They believe in producing a quality product on every job while using a system driven approach ensuring they always deliver on time. On date nights you might find them enjoying happy hour at Luna Red followed by dinner at Giuseppe’s in San Luis Obispo.

Before starting Frantz Construction, Desra played basketball at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria and Josh served in the Marine Corps achieving the rank of Sergeant. They live in Pismo Beach, California, with their sons Daniel, Andrew and their dog Gunner.

Armando Gonzales
Superintendent
Armando was also born and raised in Arroyo Grande and serves as Frantz’ Superintendent. With 15 years of experience in construction and carpentry, Armando ensures accurate timelines and scheduling, quality control and the overall production of each project. He pays great attention to detail and is an excellent problem solver in times of a crisis. Armando really enjoys working with the people on the Central Coast. In his free time, he is either riding his motorcycle or surfing at Pismo Beach or Morro Bay. One of his hidden talents is being an exceptional classical pianist.
Rick Rains
Estimator
With skills in many different trades, Rick is one of our estimator at Frantz Construction. He has spent most of his life in Grover Beach. With a little patience and a quick and steady pace, Rick works hard to insure every detail of a project is taken care of. He leads the Frantz crew with intentional guidance and daily positivity. Rick has a deep passion for beach life — when not at work, you can find him at the beach riding his quad, skim boarding or enjoying a nice bonfire. However, a new found love of his is skydiving.
Jennifer Miller
Operations Manager
Jennifer has called the Central Coast home for nearly 20 years. She brings over 16 years of business management experience to the Frantz team. Her upbeat and positive attitude is contagious to everyone around her. She truly enjoys building relationships and collaborating with vendors, customers, & colleagues alike. Her attention to detail and quality is second to none and she has an uncanny passion for insisting that client needs are met well beyond their expectations. She enjoys spending her time with close friends and family, playing recreational softball here in San Luis Obispo, and going on adventures around the community with her husband and their adorable dogs.
Veronica
Project Coordinator
Born and raised in San Luis Obispo County, Veronica is a determined, capable and confident addition to our team. With over 10 years of coordination experience, she is highly approachable and brings a fun and friendly personality to Frantz. Well organized and dedicated, Veronica strives for success with her work and within her team. She flourishes in a fast-paced environment and is an excellent multitasker. You can trust that she treats every project like it is her own home. She is also an avid chef and enjoys time with her family and riding up and down the beautiful central coast on the weekends.
